Special Olympics Canada is a national organization founded in 1969 to help people with intellectual disabilities develop self-confidence and social skills through sports training and competition.
Wheelchair curling is played with the same rocks and on the same ice as regular curling, though the rocks are thrown from a stationary wheelchair and there is no sweeping. Teams from around the lower mainland meet weekly in competitive this competitive curling league. This year DTCC will host the Provincial Play downs Feb 22nd and 23rd. This event is open to the public!
